Hi everyone!
Welcome to Julie’s Jam ’n Bread and other home made goodies website designed with love by my son, Ethan (seen in photo below) and logo created by Kathleen Lee! Here you will find a variety of my artisan sourdough, yeast and gluten-free breads, focaccia, tarts, crisps, cookies, cakes, muffins and scones, granola, jams, and soups. All of my homemade goodies are prepared with the freshest and when possible organic ingredients and everything is infused with love and Reiki energy.
My joyful journey into baking began when I was a teenager with girlfriends, Terry, Ellen and Cathy. Our first bake was El Molino’s 100% Whole Wheat Bread and we were awestruck by the deliciousness. Yes, I still make this bread and offer it here! I became a jam maker when the fig, apricot and loquat trees in our family home garden in Agoura Hills, CA, overflowed with fresh fruit. My love of making soup goes way back to when I was a toddler and my Aunt Eva gave me a pot to make “garden stew!” Oh, the fun I had with dirt, flowers, weeds, sticks, grass, water and Aunt Eva’s spices! In addition to my passion for jammin, baking, and souping, I love dance, yoga, qigong, meditation, music, reading, family, friends, adventuring and being in nature.
My professional creative endeavors began in my 20’s with the award-winning Kids in Motion: A creative movement and music program. Check out my YouTube page: @KidsinMotionOfficial. Additionally, I am a certified Yoga, Qigong, Meditation Instructor and Reiki Practitioner and offer private and group in-person and on-line classes to all ages.
